| What is The Basic System? The Basic System is a set of Role-Playing game rules that we designed to making table-top gaming easier for people. A Role-Playing game or RPG is like a 'choose your own adventure' book, but with someone telling the story and the players getting more interaction. What is The Basic System for Kids? The Basic System for Kids is a RPG for kids. We have taken out the violent content that is found in RPGs and made it 'kids friendly.' The rules have been adjusted just for kids. And unlike most 'children' RPGs out on the market, we have taken out weapons. While we have listed some items such as rubber bands and sticks, these are things that can be used for many purposes. Our goal is to expose children to Role-Playing in an educational way. Dilly Green Bean Games knows the value of education for our children, and this is one way that our company can help the education process. In TBS (The Basic System) for Kids we have even used terms that teachers use in the classroom like 'math sentences.' This way children can apply classroom knowledge in the game. Players are rewarded for many things including being nice and helping one another. The parent or teacher may run the game. Creating stories where the child may actively participate and mold how the tale goes. This not only provides an evening of family fun, it helps parents understand their children better and allows them to be exposed to a situations that they might not be familiar to them. Seeing how the child reacts to a fictional situation might help parents understand how the child will react in a real situation. How much does this cost? The Basic System for Kids is FREE.
